Date: 31.07.2017 PRESS RELEASE BHRC Human Rights Report on July- 2017 Total 119 persons killed in July, 2017
The documentation section of Bangladesh Human Rights Commission (BHRC) furnished this human rights survey report on the basis of daily newspapers and information received from its district, sub-district and municipal branches. As per survey it appears that 119 peoples were killed in July, 2017 in all over the country. It proves that the law and order situation is not satisfactory. Bangladesh Human Rights Commissions extremely anxious about this situation. In the month of July, 2017 average 3.80 people were killed in each day. The Law enforcing agencies and related Govt. departments should be more responsible so that percentage of killing June be brought down to zero level. To institutionalize the democracy and to build human rights based society the rule of law and order must be established everywhere. Through enforcing rule of law only such violation against human rights can be minimized. PRESS RELEASE BHRC Human Rights Report on January to June - 2016 Total 1185 persons killed in January to June, 2016
The documentation section of Bangladesh Human Rights Commission (BHRC) furnished this human rights survey report on the basis of daily newspapers and information received from its district, sub-district and municipal branches. As per survey it appears that 1185 peoples were cross fire, political opposition workers and others killed in January to June 2016 in all over the country. It proves that the law and order situation is not satisfactory. Bangladesh Human Rights Commissions extremely anxious about this situation. In the month of January to June 2016 average 6.51 people were killed in each day. The Law enforcing agencies and related Govt. departments should be more responsible so that percentage of killing may be brought down to zero level. To institutionalize the democracy and to build human rights based society the rule of law and order must be established everywhere. বাংলাদেশ সুপ্রীম কোর্টের প্রাক্তন বিচারপতি, প্রাক্তন প্রধান নির্বাচন কমিশনার এবং বাংলাদেশ মানবাধিকার কমিশনের জাতীয় উপদেষ্টা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান বিচারপতি একেএম সাদেক ১৫ জুন ২০১৬ সকালে ঢাকার স্কয়ার হাসপাতালে বার্ধক্যজনিত কারণে শেষ নিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন (ইন্না .... রাজিউন)। বিচারপতি একেএম সাদেক এর মৃত্যুতে বাংলাদেশ মানবাধিকার কমিশনের জাতীয় নির্বাহী কমিটির সভাপতি বীরমুক্তিযোদ্ধা প্রকৌশলী কাজী রেজাউল মোস্তফা এবং মহাসচিব ড. সাইফুল ইসলাম দিলদার গভীর শোক প্রকাশ করেছেন। মানবাধিকার নেতৃবৃন্দ উল্লেখ করেন, বিচারপতি একেএম সাদেক জীবনের শেষ মুহূর্ত পর্যন্ত ন্যায়বিচার ও মানবাধিকার উন্নয়নের পক্ষে কাজ করে গেছেন। বিচারপতি সাদেক দীর্ঘ সময়কাল যাবত বাংলাদেশ মানবাধিকার কমিশনের সাথে সম্পৃক্ত থেকে দেশে মানবাধিকার উন্নয়ন ও সংরক্ষণে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রেখেছেন। বাংলাদেশ মানবাধিকার কমিশন এই মহান বিচারপতির মৃত্যুতে সারাদেশে শোক পালনের সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে।
